Congratulations to Our Lecturers on the Achievement of Obtaining a Doctoral Degree (S3)

On behalf of the big family of HMPS SI UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta. We congratulate Dr. Kurniawan, M. Hum (Lecturer of English Literature, Faculty of Culture and Language at UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta) on the achievement of the doctoral degree. He has earned a doctorate in Linguistics at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) with the dissertation title " Tindak Tutur Direktif Orang Tua Kepada Anak Balitanya”, while the exam was held on June 29, 2021.

The next doctorate was also achieved by Dr. Nur Asiyah, M.A (Head of the Department of English Literature, Faculty of Culture and Language at UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta). She also received a doctorate in American Studies at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). The title of Mrs. Dr. Nur Asiyah, M.A is "Negosiasi Identitas Muslimah di Amerika dalam Karya Sastra Diaspora Abad 2: Sebuah Kajian Poskolonial". The exam was held on June 30, 2021.

The Dean of the Faculty of Cultures and Language, Prof. Dr. Toto Suharto, M.Ag congratulated Dr. Kurniawan, M. Hum and Dr. Nur Asiyah, MA for the doctoral degree that has been achieved at Gadjah Mada University. Hopefully this can inspire other educators, especially those who have not finished their doctoral education to finished it immediately. On the other hand for students who have not taken doctoral education, hopefully they are called to continue his education.

With the addition of two doctoral degrees that have been achieved by educators in the Faculty of Adab and Language, the Faculty of Culture and Language at UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta has now become stronger in the education sector. This also can be an inspiration for students to take further education and not giving up in order to achieve what we dream of.
