English Letters won two categories in AMI conducted by UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta

Updated: Feb 18, 2022

AMI (internal quality audit) is an internal program of UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta. It is held annually to see the readiness and quality of a study program, especially in matters relating to accreditation. The things that are checked at AMI are in terms of academics, activities, student affairs, finances, etc. When AMI is implemented, each study program is checked by assessors for its readiness, completeness, and what is needed.

After checking, there is an assessment for each study program. This year AMI is held in January. In the internal quality audit, the English Letters Study Program received a certificate of appreciation as the study program with the highest AMI score (Score: 4.0) in the State Islamic University of Raden Mas said Surakarta. English Letters also received a certificate of appreciation as a study program with the highest ratio of the number of new student registrants in the Manner and Language Faculty with a ratio of 135:1370 (1:10). This is not the first time that the English Literature study program has the highest score. In previous years, the English Letters study program has often received the highest AMI scores.

In the 2021 Internal Quality Audit, the English Letters Study Program also prepares a research and PkM roadmap for the next five years (2021-2026). The themes raised were Multipurpose Linguistics, Multipurpose Literature, and Multipurpose Translation Studies. The purpose of this theme is to inspire English Letters lecturers and students at UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta to implement, complement, and criticize current popular linguistic, literary, and translation theories of contemporary linguistic and socio-linguistic phenomena.
