Preposition and Product Pitching

PREPOSITION (Pre-Proposal Seminar Presentations) is a national seminar for English Literature students at the State Islamic University, Raden Mas said, Surakarta from August 20, 2021 to August 23, 2021. This seminar is a means for students to present their research in Literature, Linguistics, and Translation. It is for 6th semester students to present their thesis proposal before they face the seminar proposal. This year, prepositions are chaired by Shabrina An Adzhani, M.A., and held online by English Literature students from Sebelas Maret University, Trunojoyo University Madura, Muhammadiyah University Purwokerto, and UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta.

August 24, 2021, English Literature UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta also held a product pitching event, an event where fourth semester students of English Literature UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta presented their digital creative products in Digital Product Monetization in front of teachers and school principals throughout Solo Raya, DIY, Temanggung and Magetan. The goal for 4th semester students is to be able to show their products and establish a wider collaboration. The digital products offered by students are visual novels, linguistic applications, digital comics, and other digital products related to language and literature.

The purpose of holding preposition and product pitching is not only to develop students, but also to fulfill the accreditation of 9 criteria. The Head of the English Literature Study Program at UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta, Nur Asiyah, M.A., in her speech said that the English Literature Study Program at UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta harmonizes the activities and products which is organized and designed with the study program's vision and mission according to the order of 9 criteria of accreditation. One of the main points of the accreditation of these 9 criteria is recognition. This Preposition and Product pitching was held to fulfill the recognition criteria.
